3:00 Hair and makeup complete; everyone dressed except the bride (if doing a First Look, be ready time should be 2:30)

 

3:30 Pre-ceremony photos begin

4:30 Wedding Party tucked away / Prelude music begins

5:00 Ceremony

5:30 Cocktail Hour

6:30 Grand Entrance / First Dance/ Greeting / Blessing

6:35 Dinner

7:35 Toasts (Best Man, Maid of Honor, Father of the Bride or limit to 2-4)

7:50 Cake cutting

8:00 First Dance (if not done with entrance), Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Dance

8:15 DANCE FLOOR OPENS

10:30 Exit

11:30 Vendor Curfew

*This is typically 1 hour after the couple exits. However, some vendors may need longer to break down, so please plan your day accordingly. For example, bands usually need 1.5-2 hours.

WHEN CREATING A TIMELINE KEEP THESE THINGS IN MIND:

  • Ceremony start times should preferably be no less than 1.5 hours before sunset for the best lighting.

  • Review contracts for the number of hours you have each vendor.

  • All vendors need to arrive and be in place 30 minutes before the ceremony, even if services do not start until later, no load in’s in front of guests.

  • Guests only have about 5 hours in them before they fade, less if they have long commutes.
